防人口走私 墨國加強鐵路監控

墨西哥聯邦官員表示，墨國政府打算改善鐵路監控措施，並提升北上列車的速度，希望藉此嚇阻中美移民偷爬到車頂搭便車。
聯邦官員馬揚斯(Humberto Mayans)25日表示，新措施旨在對抗人口販運、加強鐵路安全，並且保護移民；這些移民是官員口中搭便車的「怪獸」，多半想到美國與墨西哥邊境再設法偷渡。
馬揚斯近來獲派負責墨國政府的南方邊界安全改善計畫。
馬揚斯指出，當局計劃投入45萬美元升級鐵路基礎設施，以提升火車的行駛速度，但他未說明要如何加強監控措施。
移民維權人士表示，最近幾週以來，聯邦官員已阻止許多移民爬上火車。
