中信兄弟領隊李文彬17日表示，回鍋洋投湯瑪仕本周就會來台報到，至於另2名洋投仍在洽談中，現在可以確定的是其中一人是左投。

湯瑪仕2012年及2013年都效力兄弟象隊，而且連2年拿到救援王，近來中信兄弟管理階層及教練團都作了調整，改造兄弟隊的其中一個方案就是補強洋投，因此決定找回湯瑪仕。

另外，新任打擊教練丘昌榮因為還沒簽定合約，所以現在只是先隨隊，因傷開刀的林威助17日也出現在新莊球場，他說「接下來將到醫院作復健」，這段時間由於林威助無法上場比賽，將讓他兼任助理打擊教練。
